I began my journey as a professional in the business world. As an Executive Director, I was accustomed to making strategic decisions, driving growth, and ensuring the sustainability of the company. In this world, success is often measured by results by numbers, by achievements, by growth. And from the outside…  everything seemed to be working well.

Yet along the way, a question kept returning quiet, but persistent: Is this growth also creating meaningful impact for the communities around us?

My journey with Rotary International opened a different perspective. I came to understand that true success is not only defined by what we build,
but by how many lives we are able to touch.

From Boardroom to Real Impact

As part of Fukusei Inti Tama, we believe that business should never stand alone. Through our philosophy: Connected Growth creating shared value for both business and society. But for me, this meaning was not found in boardrooms. I found it… in the field. Rotary took me beyond the comfort of meeting rooms to places where numbers are not enough, and reports cannot tell the full story.

There, I no longer saw data. I saw people.

I saw children with dreams without certainty.

I saw parents struggling without assurance of tomorrow.

I saw communities that did not need sympathy… they only needed one thing: opportunity. And in that moment, my question changed.

No longer, “What have I achieved?” But instead… “What can I do?”
